Bean bag

The bean bag is made from 100% cotton fabric and stuffed with styrofoam beads. It measures about 10x6". Perfect for a barbie doll, while roomy to fit two  to three more 'little' dolls.

Sleeping bag with pillow, and bean bag to match..

Now this is what I call creative hours of play fun. Little mommy will be happy to know, that while the 18" relaxes in her sleeping bag, the little dolls can visit and lounge on the bean bag...

Nature theme

I personally saw this fabric at the store and loved it. Thought it would make a little mommy and her doll happy!

The pillows

The pillows are stuffed for comfort so the dolls can rest well.

For my little Mommies

These bright colored fabric will match any decor in child's room.  Sleeping bag is made for an 18" doll and measures 21x11". Doll insert for display only....
Mix and match pillows? Will leave it up to you:)

Gross grain ribbon at the end for easy roll and tie, and neatly put away after play

Sleeping bags with pillows to go

All these are handmade in a smoke free home and ready to be delivered:)

For the 2-4 year olds

The two to four year olds will love keeping busy toting this around  at play or on the go! Hours and hours of make believe fun!

Fabric Wallet

He/ She is responsible, learning to count, and loves helping around the house. A wallet is just what they need to keep some of all the money they earn. The wallet is fastened with velcro, and the little coin purse is secured with velcro as well. Little pockets to also keep their bank, credit, or library cards safe:)

Fruity Apron

This Apron was first tried and approved by this Nine year old.- blessing!  The strap is adjustable, and the back is lined. The fabric is bright, fruity and appealing so your little chef will love to get busy in the kitchen!

Chef hat and Apron

I made this chef hat and apron for an eight year old who is so creative and passionate about cooking.
She loves dogs, and so the fabric theme did the trick.
It brought me such joy to see the smile on her face as she wore it, and got right to work.... baking something edible...

The orders for sleeping bags keep coming in and I'm so thankful! Thanks to my friend Jennifer who first gave me a paid opportunity of an order of (8), 15x9 sleeping bags and pillows for teddy bears. I later showed a sample and the idea to another friend, who also ordered 6, sleeping doll bags with pillows for 18" American Girl Dolls.

This sleeping bag is for an 18" doll and her pillow is attached.

This brings decor to any room

Welcome to ABA!

Are you looking for handmade gift ideas, accessories or play wear for children? Great! All the accessories were carefully handmade by me with nothing, but lots of love
.
The accessories have been tried, and approved by the wonderful children in my life.

My love for children, my passion to sew, their big imagination and creativity at play, helped inspire me to create ABA.
Its a wonder to watch them play.... From chefs, firefighters, spies, pirates, little mommies, ballerinas, just to name a few.
I'm happy to help create accessories that support their already big imaginations.
Sewing runs in my family. My late paternal grandmother, Margaret Abigail Hanson was an avid seamstress who sewed until her eyes were dim. She mainly sewed for children. I was so touched when the story was retold to me.

Her twin daughters, - my Aunts are extraordinary designers.
Some of my knowledge to sew was self taught, apprenticed part time for my designer Aunts, and some, I earned at school.
Visit with me for a while.... come back again soon and please leave me your comments. Will love to know what you think! Thank you!
